Ms. Garza is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor (NCC) having earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio. While in her graduate program, she completed her internship at a residential facility for at-risk adolescent girls, where she worked closely in processing childhood trauma, leading crisis management, as well as teaching emotional regulation. Previously, Ms. Garza worked as an autism therapist at a national autism organization where she implemented behavior interventions based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Ms. Garza completed her supervision hours for full licensure under Andrea M. Alvarez, LPC-S with specialty experience for OCD and related disorders.
