In honor of Love Your Body Day, we’re continuing the conversation sparked by one of Say It Brave on Campus’s most-watched events: Born Worthy – Navigating Diet Culture’s Burdens and Learning to Be There for Ourselves and Others! This year, representatives from SheRecovers Foundation, Born This Way Foundation and ANAD will join Kaila Peak-Rishel LCSW, LMFT, CEDS-S to delve deeper into the pervasive nature of diet culture and its damaging effects on mental health. Focusing on intersectionality, this discussion will shed light on how diet culture impacts various communities and how to foster self-acceptance. We’ll define the range of body image (acceptance, neutrality, sovereignty, positivity, etc.) and what they mean for your journey.
