Going Beyond Patient Care to Expand Eating Disorder Knowledge
Every day, psychiatry physician Dr. Maryrose Bauschka uses her expertise in treating eating disorders to provide excellent care to our patients. But she doesn't stop there. She collaborated with fellow experts to contribute to the body of academic research around eating disorders in hopes of educating physician colleagues around the complex nature of these patients.
Learn more about the paper titled, "Medical and Psychiatric Features of Patients Hospitalized for Severe Restrictive Eating Disorders: Analysis of 545 Consecutive Patients with Severe Anorexia Nervosa or Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder," published in the Journal of the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry in February 2024.
Congratulations to Dr. Bauschka and her fellow researchers including ACUTE Medical Director Philip Mehler, M.D., for this achievement!
