Biography

Dr. Tracey Cornella-Carlson is a child and adolescent psychiatrist in our Sacramento location. She is a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist licensed in Wisconsin, California, and Texas, with over 15 years of experience treating patients with eating disorders. Before joining ERC, she co-founded and served as the Medical Director of The REDI Clinic and was the Medical Director of Child and Adolescent Eating Disorder Services at Rogers Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Cornella-Carlson is an esteemed member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), holding the credentials of Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) and IAEDP-approved supervisor. She has served as the Certification Chairperson for the Heartland chapter of IAEDP and was honored as a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists. As a member of the Academy for Eating Disorders, she co-chaired the Child and Adolescent Special Interest Group.

Dr. Cornella-Carlson earned her medical degree from the Chicago Medical School and completed a general psychiatry residency and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Recognized as one of Castle Connolly’s “Top Doctors” by Milwaukee Magazine, she has also appeared as an eating disorder expert on TMJ4's "The Morning Blend" and CBS. She takes pride in working collaboratively with the entire treatment team to offer the highest quality of care for patients and their families at ERC and Pathlight. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family.
