Biography

Dr. Stephen Morris is a board-certified psychiatrist based in our Downtown Chicago location. Originally from Orange County, California, he is passionate about providing comprehensive mental health care through a holistic approach. Dr. Morris believes in integrating psychotherapy, lifestyle changes, mindfulness, medication management, and neuromodulation to address a broad spectrum of mental health conditions. With experience across various clinical settings—including academic, VA, and state mental health centers—he has worked in outpatient care, integrative clinics, and inpatient environments, making him well-equipped to support patients at different levels of care.

Dr. Morris earned his B.S. in Biology and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison before obtaining his D.O. from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at Loyola University Medical Center, where he was recognized for his excellence in psychotherapy. Throughout his academic career, he received multiple honors, including being inducted into the prestigious Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Morris is dedicated to ongoing learning and collaboration in the field, staying engaged in professional associations to continue enhancing his expertise.

Outside of work, Dr. Morris enjoys staying active through basketball, golf, snowboarding, hiking, and meditating. He also enjoys playing guitar, attending concerts, reading, and traveling, always seeking new experiences and perspectives. He is deeply committed to fostering a supportive, respectful relationship with each patient, helping them achieve not only symptom relief but also a meaningful improvement in their overall well-being.
