Biography

Sarah McLaughlin is a dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at our Denver, Colorado location. Originally from Pennsylvania, she moved to Colorado and joined ERC Pathlight in 2021 as a Registered Nurse. Although her nursing career began in critical care, Sarah has always been passionate about mental health. Inspired by the recovery-focused work at ERC, she pursued further education to become a PMHNP, allowing her to take a more active role in patient care and treatment. Sarah is excited to be part of your treatment team and contribute to your journey toward wellness.

In her practice, Sarah specializes in working with individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges, particularly in the context of eating disorder treatment. Since 2021, she has gained valuable experience in this field and has also worked in a ketamine infusion clinic and intensive care units. Currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at Frontier Nursing University, Sarah maintains a 4.0 GPA and is set to graduate in April 2024. Her clinical background, combined with her commitment to compassionate care, equips her to provide comprehensive support to her patients.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Sarah enjoys camping, hiking, thrifting, and attending live music events. She also plays in a co-ed soccer league, showcasing her enthusiasm for teamwork both on and off the field. Having traveled to India, she dreams of exploring Japan and Thailand in the future. With a strong foundation in mental health and a passion for patient care, Sarah is an invaluable member of our team, ready to support you in achieving your mental health goals.
