Rebecca Gauer, MD

Dr. Rebecca Gauer is a Psychiatrist at our Hunt Valley, Maryland location. She specializes in providing compassionate, patient-centered care with a focus on treating eating disorders and psychiatric conditions. Dr. Gauer earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed both her residency at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt Psychiatry Residency Program and a fellowship in Eating Disorders at the Sheppard Pratt Center for Eating Disorders.

Dr. Gauer has significant experience in inpatient and partial hospitalization programs, having served as an attending physician at the Sheppard Pratt Center for Eating Disorders. Additionally, she has gained valuable expertise through extra training in psychiatric emergency services, where she worked in the psychiatric ER evaluating and triaging patients.

Board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Gauer holds a Maryland state medical license and is certified in Basic Life Support, as well as in Buprenorphine. She is committed to integrating psychiatric care with specialized treatment for eating disorders, helping patients on their journey to recovery.
