Biography

Rachel Engelhart is the Clinical Director at Eating Recovery Center in Bethesda, MD. She is a licensed professional counselor, registered dietitian, and certified Intuitive Eating counselor providing support to individuals of all ages who are dealing with eating disorders and body image concerns. Rachel began her career as an inpatient dietitian at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, where she realized the importance of addressing the emotional issues that impact eating. She then pursued a Master of Arts in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University and trained at Mount Sinai's Eating Disorders Program. After moving to Washington DC, Rachel worked at Children's National Medical Center in their Outpatient Eating Disorders Program and in private practice in the DC Metropolitan area. Rachel is a passionate speaker on the topic of eating disorder prevention, intuitive eating, meal prep strategies, and eating disorder prevention.
