Biography

Niki DuBois (she/her), MSSW, LCSW, is the primary therapist for our Children and Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at our Austin location, as well as an avid mental health and eating disorder advocate in the world. A proud Eating Recovery Center alumni herself, Niki is able to help others through both professional and personal experience, showing every day how a person can recover from an eating disorder and go on to give back in the same field without disruption.

Throughout Niki's personal and professional experiences, one thing remains constant: her unwavering belief in the power of community. Niki's personal and professional experience working with those struggling with eating disorders and substance use disorders has affirmed her belief that full recovery is possible and it doesn't have to happen alone. When she was in her darkest times, like many of us understand, she did not believe that recovery was possible because she did not have any examples of what recovery looked like and did not know anyone in recovery. She made a commitment that if she were ever on the other side of her eating disorder, she would recover out loud for those who need a voice. And we are grateful to have her today in our Say It Brave community.
