Biography

Dr. Libby Erickson currently works as a psychiatrist and Medical Director on the Intensive Treatment Unit at Eating Recovery Center in Denver and is an Associate Professor at University of Colorado. Dr. Erickson completed her adult psychiatry residency and medical ethics fellowship at the University of Chicago. While there, Dr. Erickson served as chief resident of psychiatry, and was a member of the University ethics committee. Following her time in Chicago, she ventured westward to University of Colorado for her Child Psychiatry Fellowship. She served as Chief Fellow and stayed on staff following training.

Prior to her time at ERC, Dr. Erickson worked in integrated care and school-based clinics in the Denver Metropolitan area. Dr. Erickson’s clinical interests include decision-making capacity in patients with chronic illness, PTSD in eating disorder populations, and treatment of ED in athletes.

In her free time, Dr. Erickson both teaches and practices yoga, enjoys reading, camping, masters swimming, and spending time with her family.
