Joi Chanae Haylock, MSN, RN, PCCN, CNL, PMHNP, is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner working at our Sacramento, CA location. With a diverse background in both business law and healthcare, Joi’s career took a transformative turn after a life-changing car accident during her undergraduate years. This pivotal moment sparked her deep passion for medicine and psychiatry, leading her to pursue advanced education and clinical training in nursing and psychiatric care.

Joi's clinical experience spans various settings, including outpatient community care, residential care, acute hospital inpatient, case management, and cardiac nursing. Her nursing practice is guided by holistic and transpersonal care principles, and she strongly believes in the interconnectedness of humanity. Joi is dedicated to supporting patients and families through their healing journeys, with compassion and empathy being central to her approach. Her personal mission is to create a healing environment where patients feel understood and empowered.

Joi earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Charles Drew University, where she later completed her Post-Master’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program in 2023. Her academic achievements include being honored on the Dean’s Leadership Award list and the Honor Roll for her contributions to psychiatric nursing. Joi is also a Caritas Coach (2024) and has a strong commitment to ongoing professional development, regularly engaging with organizations like the American Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau. Her dedication to holistic and compassionate care makes her a valued member of our team in Sacramento.
