Biography

Grace Serafini is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner working primarily in our Maryland location. With a passion for mental health that has shaped her career, Grace brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. She is dedicated to understanding the unique personalities and skills of her patients, particularly those grappling with chronic conditions such as eating disorders and mood disorders.

Originally from Baltimore, Grace has spent her entire career in mental health, starting as a bedside nurse and advancing through various roles, including educator, manager, and director of nursing. With 25 years of administrative experience in a hospital setting, she has overseen diverse areas such as emergency care, medical care, OBGYN, and critical care. Her journey back to the bedside as a nurse practitioner was driven by a desire to provide more direct, impactful care, prompting her to return to school later in life to achieve her goal.

Grace holds a BS as an RN and an MSN in Adult Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist from the University of Maryland, as well as a postgraduate Nurse Practitioner degree from Drexel University. She is certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist. Grace has extensive experience in both inpatient and partial hospitalization settings, focusing on mood and anxiety disorders for adults and children, as well as eating disorders. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, gardening, hiking, and traveling, and has contributed to the field through research, including a publication on the effects of teaching programs related to psychotropic medication.
