Biography

Destinee Baham is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner currently serving patients at our San Antonio, Houston, and The Woodlands locations. Born and raised in Houston, Destinee has always had a deep connection to her community, which inspired her early passion for helping others. She began her healthcare journey as a bedside nurse at Memorial Hermann in the Houston Medical Center, where she worked in a variety of settings, including pediatric step-down units and adult ICUs. In 2022, Destinee advanced her career by becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, where she now focuses on providing comprehensive care and developing individualized treatment plans for her patients.

Destinee completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at UT Health Houston School of Nursing in 2017, followed by her Family Nurse Practitioner program at the same institution. Throughout her academic journey, she was recognized with the Hearst End Nursing Scholarship and earned membership in the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Upon graduating, Destinee joined Digestive Systems Healthcare, where she gained expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of both acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions, such as gastroenteritis, H. pylori, liver cirrhosis, and IBD. Her role also involved endoscopy and colonoscopy screenings, as well as managing diagnostic results to guide patient care.

Outside of her professional life, Destinee is an active member of the North Harris Montgomery Advanced Practice Nurse Society and the Houston Area Nurse Practitioners. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, and traveling with her husband and dog. Destinee is also an avid reader, with a particular love for classic literature such as To Kill a Mockingbird, Jane Eyre, and Pride and Prejudice. Her approach to patient care is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and a strong commitment to ongoing learning, ensuring she provides the highest level of care to each patient she serves.
