Biography

Dr. Catherine Ruscitti, PsyD, CEDS is a licensed clinical psychologist, a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, and the Clinical Director at Eating Recovery Center of Houston. She is also the author of The Anorexia Recovery Skills Workbook: A Comprehensive Guide to Cope with Difficult Emotions, Embrace Self-Acceptance and Prevent Relapse. After receiving a dual degree with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, she continued her studies in clinical psychology and obtained a Master of Science and a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Ruscitti completed her predoctoral and postdoctoral training with Baylor College of Medicine at The Menninger Clinic in Houston, TX. Dr. Ruscitti specializes in the assessment and treatment of adolescents and adults with eating disorders and related conditions. Her professional interests include treatment interventions for binge eating disorder and the use of acceptance and commitment therapy in the treatment of eating disorders. In addition to direct care, Dr. Ruscitti presents educational lectures to professionals and the general community, is active in conducting research on eating disorders, and has published several papers on the topic.
