Biography

Dr. Chase is Senior Clinical Advisor for Eating Recovery Center and Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center. Her areas of specialization include child and adolescent mental health, the treatment of eating disorders, parental training and education, and family- or team-based therapy, including advanced training in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy. She is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Supervisor, and her experience spans over 25 years in the field of eating disorder and mental health treatment. In addition, she offers training and ongoing education for other professionals across the U.S. and workshops for professionals, community organizations, and schools. Dr. Chase is an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Texas at Austin, where she taught undergraduate courses and currently supervises PhD students. Her professional memberships include the American Psychological Association, the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, and the Academy of Eating Disorders, where she is currently serving as Co-Chair for the Child and Adolescent Special Interest Groups.

Dr. Chase earned her PhD in clinical psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. She completed her residency training in Chicago at Rush University Medical Center, in both the departments of psychology and pediatrics, and completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Austin Child Guidance Center.
