In this session, we are going to discuss medical and nutritional considerations in providing transgender care along with the lived experiences of our panelists, Lor (they/them) and Dalia Kinsley RD, LD (no pronouns). We will discuss specific challenges TGNC individuals face in getting basic medical and mental health care in addition to gender-affirming care. Our panelists will review different types of gender-affirming care (medical vs non-medical) in addition to nutritional guidance in gender-affirming care. We will also discuss providing gender-affirming care for a TGNC individual with an eating disorder.
