At Home Patient and Support System Resources

Welcome! This resource hub will help you take a deeper dive into topics that you’ll be introduced to in your or your loved one’s virtual intensive outpatient program. You’ll find binders full of helpful resources (including activities, journal prompts, and more) as well as educational videos for patients’ support systems featuring our clinicians.

Eating Disorder Child & Adolescent Program Resources

Caregiver Education Videos

These videos introduce and review the education and discussion over Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), symptom interruption, and support utilizing a Family Based Treatment (FBT)-informed model. They also cover other topics, including: the importance of limit setting, meal support strategies, the role of emotions, and how to validate and support your child through the recovery process.

Caregiver Resource Toolkit

The caregiver toolkit will help you learn how to support your child (and yourself!) throughout our program. The goal of the resource toolkit is to help you organize information, revisit it, and take it in at your own speed.

Binge Eating Disorders Program Resources

Patient Education Videos

This video series helps you learn more about binge eating disorders and how the virtual IOP program works. Hear from a program alum about her experience with BED and our treatment program. We also encourage you to watch our Weight Stigma Unlearning series to learn about weight stigma and anti-fat bias. By identifying WHERE and HOW weight stigma and anti-fat bias is learned and reinforced, we can begin to do the work of unlearning concepts that perpetuate harmful narratives that are inherently rooted in racism, harms the larger body/fat community and stigmatize us all.

Patient Resource Toolkit

Your patient toolkit features information you’ll be exploring throughout the program—from nutrition education to activities to recipes. The goal of the resource toolkit is to help you organize the information, revisit it, and take it in at your own speed.

Support System Education Videos

This video series helps family, friends, and caregivers of binge eating disorder program patients better understand binge eating disorders and how they can support their loved one. Topics include nutrition, psychoeducation, and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT).
